Private tutor in Hampton, GA
Education
Rutgers University-New Brunswick - BA, Criminal Justice
Experience
I graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Corrections, and a focus in criminology. After graduating, I began working in college preparatory programs aimed at preparing students for college. I have also worked as a mentor and tutor for a nonprofit educational organization.I currently work as a high school mathematics teacher. Through this experience, I have been able to see the importance of building strong relationships with the students in order to inspire and facilitate learning. For a teacher, being able to understand how a student learns is a powerful tool. By establishing meaningful relationships, I am able to get a deeper understanding of my student's level, helping me develop a curriculum that will suit his or her needs.Mathematics has always been one of my stronger points. I truly enjoy teaching math, and I am able to teach a range of math subjects, including elementary and middle school math, algebra, and geometry. In my spare time, I do a lot of mentoring in the community. I work with young ladies in the community, helping them develop the skills they need to go into higher education. In addition to mentoring, I like to dance, exercise, and watch movies.
